Warwick Senior High School Reviews

Warwick School District is definitely not a school district where the students are able to walk all over the teachers. In response to the parent who submitted the first comment; clearly a lack of understanding regarding the district in general. The school has always given punishment when needed and rewards when appropriate. The students are getting an excellent education when they want to. As a graduate of the class of 2009 I believe my education at Warwick has positively impacted my college career.

This neighborhood school offers great teachers, facilities and town support for the school

Warwick is a good school for those who look to go into Music or any of the Arts. Mrs. Kline-Smith does a wonderful job with the music Department that is one of the best in the state. adn the art teachers are great.

Warwick is a school good school for students who are planning to attend college. The school special education department is severely lacking. They are only providing minimal assistance to these students. What happened to the no child left behind Policy? I believe the parent involvement is adequate and feel the music, art, sports and extracurricular activities are great.

As a member of the graduating class of 2006 I feel as though Warwick gave me the knowledge and skills I needed to make in college. Students who are involved in extracurricular activities still are expected to excel in the classroom, teachers are willing to help students as much as possible, and as for the students being 'out of control' I felt like the school was run very smoothly. If the student body was really so out of control then where were all the fights and drop-outs that a reckless student body would have caused. The teachers are extremely adequate and will work with each and every student to excel.

Academics are adequate at Warwick, although they could probably do more for the advanced students. Grading seems easy - a large percentage of students regularly make the distinguished honor roll. So, students with a GPA of 3.6 are barely in the top 20% of their class. Extracurricular activites are plentiful, although they do not offer intramural sports. Music and art departments are strong. Parental involvment at school is adequate - not too much, not too little. Overall, a good school for college prep and other tracks. Perhaps not the best choice if you are very competitive about getting in the best ivy-league type schools.

My opion is the kids are not getting a good education here. The kids are out of control. Teachers do not teach anything because they have no control over the kids in the classroom. Kids know this and are taking an advantage of this.
