Great school with a wonderful and nurturing staff. Academics are important as well as music, art and phys.ed. Opportunities in these areas are fantastic. Very friendly school.

Leola is a positive and friendly community (as a school). As a teacher at this school, I know first hand, how dedicated we are to helping all of our students achieve success. We have many programs to help needy students as well as those who areready to reach beyond. We even have a day of the week which has an afternoon dedicated to after school help for students who need extra attention. It is a safe atmosphere, where students are taught to appreciate differences and positive character. Our principal is available and visible to the students and the parents. We encourage all of the students to work together as a team for our school through projects that benefit our community. Leola is a wonderful school!

Leola Elementary staff is committed to making our school a friendly, enthusiastic and learning environment. We have special theme days for teachers and students, Character Education, an anti-bullying program, class meetings to learn and discuss problems/solutions, etc. These are all in place in addition to the regular curriculum because we want our students to be able to learn in a cooperative, safe place. We LOVE teaching here!

As an educator of students in this community. I am committed to not only the students, but also to the parents, school and community. Leola is like a heart, a living, breathing organism that functions in conjunction with society and its community. Of all the schools that I have worked in, I truly enjoy working at Leola Elementary.

I am very pleased with the staff and guidance I have gotten through out the year with the placement of my children. The teachers are easy to talk to and willing to work with special needs.

I have read the reviews of this school after hearing about the site. I am really taken back and a bit appalled about what I am reading. The parents that posted these apparently were not treated well because of issues or problems. This school is one of the best elementary schools around Lancaster County PA and has been featured in the newspaper yearly for the programs it has and develops. With many needy children the teachers and staff go out of their way to assist. All parents are contacted and all issues are handled in a timely manner. Come see the school before you make decisions written by parents that are unhappy due to their own situations. You will experience the incredible positive atmosphere and learning environment!

The staff here is very friendly and are fairly flexible with working with families. We enjoy reaching out and doing extra activities to involve all the needs of students.

This is my first year teaching at Leola, and I have been thoroughly impressed by the dedication and passion with which the faculty serves the students and surrounding community. Parents and teachers alike will be hard-pressed to find another public school so willing to throw open its doors & work for the benefit of the whole-child; from literacy to dental health, teaching children fractions to getting them badly-needed pairs of glasses, Leola is a school that cares.

I've found Leola Elementary to be a very warm and caring school. The teachers understand the needs of their students and go out of their way to help them. The principal is friendly, firm, and fair with students.

Leola Elementary School is a place where teachers and staff care deeply about each and every child. When a child has a need, whatever it may be, not only is it addressed promptly but many resources are pulled together until a solution can be reached. Students are challenged academically in positive, caring learning environments. Leola is an excellent school for students to learn and grow.

Having previously worked in several schools and more than one school district, I am proud to be a member of the team of highly qualified and caring staff at Leola Elementary School. We are all interested in working together to provide every student with a great education. We fully support our school parents as we together prepare children for their futures.

I have worked at this school for many years and there is no place I would rather be! The students come from many different social, economical, and cultural backgrounds which does present challenges, but we reap the rewards of so many differences in one place! The staff works countless hours to meet EVERY students' needs and the support staff is amazing. The students enjoy there time in school and many come back and visit when they move on to middle school, high school, and beyond. We have many generations of families that attend this school and take pride in it. Every experience is what you make of it, and this school makes the most of the time they have with all students!

As a new teacher to the school I found ALL of the teachers, staff and administration to be extremely helpful and to have a genuine concern for the students learning and well-being. The school has the staff, programs and curriculum to help not only those students in need, but also those who are succeeding in school. The newly implemented RtI program has allowed the school to provide extra help to some of those students who needed just a small amount of support to become successful. I truly see that the teachers and administrators care about the students, and strive to provide them with the best education!

This school seems to deal with a lot of student needs, and I believe does so well. I've had great sucess in working through problems with teachers as well as some other staff. From being in the school often, I have realized how needy many of the children are and feel Leola staff are doing their best to help our kids!

Leola Elementary has a very friendly, warm, loving, and caring environment from the minute you step through the doors. The teachers care tremendously about their students, current and past. They push their students to do the best they can, and never let them give up! They challenge the students learning academically and creatively. Leola Elementary is one of the best schools in Lancaster County!! They are very welcoming of parents and are constantly communicating with parents.

I LOVE Leola! My daughter went through there and is now an 8th grader at the CV Middle School. My son is currently in 3rd grade there and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Leola to anybody. The staff is great. It really is a fantastic school!

I believe that this school has highly qualified staff in all areas. There are many students that attend this school that are in need of extra help with such things as reading and writing and there are many, many specialists that work one on one with them. The school is always happy to have parents come in and help out in classrooms, lunchrooms, etc.....If you or your child are experiencing problems in a certain area-go in to the school and help out. Maybe you can help make a difference.

The front office at this school sure doesn't seem to care about anything. I've called the office twice to get in touch with the principal last week, both times I was told that she wasn't available. Both times I left my name and number and asked that she call back as soon as possible. I'm still waiting. It's been 6 days now and no call. Other parents have told me to only get in touch with the guidance counselor there if you need assistance as she seems to be the only one that cares enough to take care of things. So I guess I'll try her next. I will say thought that the classes seem to challenge the students and push them to learn more and advance their skills. I just wonder who really runs things there. Obviously not the 'absent' principal.

Communication is a major problem at this school. Also, we have e-mailed administration before at this school over some concerns and problems and never heard back. It also took 2 days for the principal to call us back concerning a problem with bullies at this school.

This school is full of rude teachers and administration that doesn't seem to care about the parents or the students. They seem to shirk all responsibilites and have a 'not our problem' attitude. We are actually looking at others houses in other school districts so that we can move away from this school. Our children hate the school and we have had no luck trying to speak openly with the staff. This school desperately needs revamped. Maybe the school district is just too big for them to look closely at all the schools. Whatever the case it sure didn't surprise us to learn that this is the lowest ranked elementary school in the district. My family can't wait to move.
