Well, I'm not really depraved. That was to get your attention, on the theory that there is no such thing as bad publicity.

I'm a podiatrist by vocation and a musician by avocation. I play clarinet and sax in contra dance bands. I actually own an alto clarinet, the ultimate nerd instrument, on which I attempt to play jazz and klezmer and have plans to form a band that will play rock and jazz choir style.

I am a 34 year old bi male living in the city of Lancaster, PA who is looking for locals to hang out with a see where the good times take us. I work with children who have behavior and emotional problems, draining work but worthwhile. I like to think of myself as being spiritual without being religious, at least not by the average, mundane standards imposed by society.

I've recently come to a conclusion about love. Being ever-encouraged to find a wife, I have made a few decisions about relationships:

Love doesn't have to be so difficult: Does she make you feel better about who you are and do you like the person that you become when you are with her?

Do you think about her a lot? Do you want to be a part of her life? Do you want her to be a part of yours?

I play the piano and guitar, and will often get up in the middle of the night to do so. I have a sleeping disorder that keeps me up late most every night.

I am a believer in Chivalry. There is a proper way to treat a lady, with respect, with homage, with sincerity. I will never wear the heartbreaker, bad boy, wayward label. Chivalry may not be very intriguing or inspiring as you search for a guy that interests you. But Chivalry is a code of thought, word, and deed. There is "right" and there is "wrong", and everybody knows the difference between the two. (With the exception of the mentally insane, I suppose). In the end, people tend to settle down into marriages that lean toward a sense of common decency, and love for the soul. That doesn't sound very interesting, I guess, but it's a rewarding feeling and experience to know what somebody is thinking. You've taken the time to get to know her, and to become a part of her life, if not her whole life. And sometimes "interesting" gets replaced with "powerful".

Have you ever found yourself in the arms of a guy who made your skin temperature rise, and your heart beat faster with excitement? Have you ever gone white in the face because he remembered to get you something for your birthday that you only mentioned briefly in passing that you wanted six months ago? Maybe Chivalry is interesting after all, huh?

I get worked up about the people I have to work with at my job. They spend such time trying to make it look like they are doing work, it almost seems like it would be less work for them if they would just do their job. Unfortunately, not only do my co-workers act this way, but so does management. This is why I bite my lip at work. Management is as dumb as my co-workers, and I'll not insult them by voicing my concerns to them. However, it does help to vent my frustrations out. I find that having someone who will listen to my concerns makes all the difference in the world.

There is a true absence in one's life to not have the opposite gender to rely on. (Unless you're gay, I suppose). But for me, life will not be complete without a woman, beautiful in many ways, to wake up next to.

I am seeking a "with it" companion to walk in the shaded pasture with me. I prefer tall, slender to average. I have many interests, ranging from politics to nature. It is difficult to add too much relevant vale to this as it comes dowm to the reaction of the people.

I'm a somewhat reclusive, relatively hard-working, kinda bookish, mildly formalistic, lightly absurdist, hardly unapproachable Gen-Xer.

I like to travel, and typically try to take one major vacation to a new state or country each summer, though it's been harder to do the past couple of years with my work schedule. Still, I've found time to get up to New York to visit friends and to Hawaii earlier this summer for a wedding. Looking forward to a return visit to Hawaii - the first trip was entirely too commercial and touristy, and I'd like to just visit the scenery next time.

Someone once asked me if I was a glass full or glass empty kind of guy. I said that glasses are actually only filled about 80% full when you start to drink from them, so for a glass to be half full, it's actually about 60% of a normal drink. Honestly, I feel dorkier for having typed that, but you should know what you're getting into.

I would be happy if the world consisted of dog parks, laughter, zoos, aquariums, and ice cream flavors without the word Chocolate in them.

I'm too competitive at times. If you want to play a board game with me, I'll play... but I will utterly play to win, so you'd better bring it (it's already been broughten, here). OK, kill me for that one. Sorry.

My name is Jacob. I am a well-rounded person, interested in everything from creative things (art, literature, music) to more intellectual pursuits (science, philosophy, literature) and more. While I get my finger in all kinds of different pies, am really am not a master of any of them. This is a perk insofar as many things interest me. This is a detraction when I can't do anything well. I am the sort of person who most people have trouble understanding. My few friends get me (God bless them) and can't comprehend why someone wouldn't find me completely fantastic. However, it isn't an exaggeration to say that I am just a really weird combination that quite simply takes most people aback.

While inside I see myself as quite friendly and forgiving, the way I am perceived is, I think, much more prickly and offensive. It is not intentional on my part... I just don't see the point in spoon-feeding the way I feel to everyone.

Hello, I'm 21 and currently a college student. I"m majoring in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood. I love working with kids, so I want to do a job involving them. I'm currently student teaching a 4th grade class and loving it! It keeps me busy, but I can't complain too much since I enjoy it most of the time.

I am a little quiet/shy at first, but begin to open up after a while. I can be a little uncomfortable in several social situations, but I'm slowly trying to improve that. I will probably always be more of an introvert. There are times where I like to be alone, but I do like being with others as well.

I'm going through a changing point in my life, with college coming to a clase very soon and my eventual search a job in the real world. Having a guy to help me through this journey would be a plus. I was widowed nearly five years ago, and it is now time to start the next chapter in my life. I have a great deal to give, and I want to share my life again. Lately I've been asking myself, and others what is so wrong about being happy. As I haven't gotten a decent answer back, I'm okay with being happy.

Well, these things are never easy. I like myself, I've come to realize this over the past few years. I'm not afraid to be happy, but I can buckle down and be serious to get things done.

I'm enjoying spending time with my cats, reading and watching movies. I go out for contra dancing when I can and enjoy small dinner parties with local friends. I avoid the bar scene here in Lancaster, though when I lived in Asheville and there were posh bars I enjoyed it. I'm at home in an art gallery or an amusement park.

Just to be clear if you are still reading. I am a geek, dork nerd call it what you will. Personally I call it geek mostly cause I can make friends and my GPA wasn't uber high.

I'm the kind of girl who can go from glam rock to musicals to opera to 60's folk music then 70's disco and not bat an eye. Usually in the same key. The rap I listen to is the Beasty Boys, and if it's R&B then I'm thinking The Supremes and music of that ilk. If it is playing on the radio and isn't a "classic" station with alterna rock from the 90's I most likely don't know it. Not because it doesn't play but because I make it a point not to hear it.

I care about politics. I don't vote to stick it to anyone or to prove anything I vote for the person I feel is best. I vote local I vote national. I try to stay abreast of what is happening in the world and if you think Im apathetic to it, don't bother to message because I will have long one sided arguments about why you should care. If that doesn't work I get frustrated and snippy.

I am used to being odd. I like it. When having normal conversation with my friends I reference alot of mythology from any pantheon that isn't Christian. I wasn't raised that way and haven't read the bible. Point of fact, Disney's Hercules bothers me more then Jesus Christ superstar OR The Last Temptation of Christ both of which kinda show the good Judas. Yeah I watched those, great sounds tracks. (bonus pionts if you know the name of the artist who did the sound track for LTC and the album name. Even more if you own it).

I'm a bartender and love my job. Although some days suck, I don't really see myself doing anything else but the restaurant industry.

I have two boys...they will be 6 and 2 this summer and I have them both full time. I wouldn't have it any other way. I also live with extended family, which is a little crowded and sucks at times but I get the help I need with childcare so I can work full time and provide for them.

I'm a fairly relaxed, easy going guy. I think life is about enjoying the experiance, so I try not to make too many plans and go with what comes along. I enjoy soccer, rugby, skiing and hiking. I definitely enjoy the winter, there's something about being a little cold that makes me feel much more alive. I also really like the snow, I don't think you can ever be to old to enjoy a good snowball fight, or a sweet sledding hill. However I enjoy summer and the beach as well. Hmm the self summary... I'm a single, well rounded guy, recently moved to Lancaster for work and still finding my way around. I grew up in northeast PA and still travel back there often to see family and friends. Ice Hockey is my favorite sport, to play and watch. I'm a huge Flyers fan, but also support PSU, Eagles and am a season ticket holder for the WB/Scranton Penguins.

I'm a bit of an analytical person. I personify Virgo. There is plenty more, but why reveal it all now.

So pretty much in my short life of dating I have figured out what I want and I don't take any bull crap from guys anymore. I'm done with jerks and guys who don't care about a girl's feelings. Its ridiculous.

I can be really funny and easy to get along with. Most of the time. I tend to speak before I think so sometimes I say things I don't mean.
I tend to get attached really easily. I don't really know why. I can be clingy and I'm sorry about that. I don't really like it but I try not to be over clingy. I fall really hard and really fast.

I'm complicated. I'm into sports, music, learning, and having a good time. I love my job as a waiter and a full time college student. It's hard to really describe yourself here. I'm a person difficult to nutshell. I'm like an onion (not like a cake) with layers.

Describing myself is quite easy. I enjoy life as much as possible. I get pleasure in the small things in life and like to go out and see what is out there. I enjoy traveling and with this current job I had the ability to do it quite a bit around the country. Now i'm more focused on some international travel. Parents keeps saying to do that before you have kids and they are probably right.
You can normally find my at some local hotspots around town such as Stubby's Bar and Grill....after all they are my neighbor, and Marion Court during the Summer.....football sundays i'm usually at home.

My name is Matt, I'm 28, i have a bachelors degree in criminology/sociology and certification certificates in Microsoft server, xp and ISA. With all this education i work at a pizza restaurant, while paying very well for a pizza restaurant, is still a pittance to what my actual earning power should be.

I like playing/writing music, reading and collecting classic video games (nerd). I also enjoy mixing adult drinks, cooking and exercising regularly.

Someone once said i was the perfect man, but they live their life in a ways that suggest they were lying. (being attracted and pursuing men that are VERY flawed, by anyone's standard) So, one could gather I'm the type of person people want to lie to. I don't know if that's good or not.

I am a passionate and romantic person, who loves to laugh! . I work every other weekend. I love taking drives in the country listening to music, classic rock or most anything but rap.

I like to tell people that if Indiana Jones and Lara Croft had a baby, it would grow up to be me. This is because I'm an archaeologist in training, and caves/ruins are my favorite places to be in the world.

I live for travel, adventure, challenges and exploration.

Other than archaeology, I enjoy fairy festivals and renaissance fairs, RPG games, and generally being a nerd. That being said, I also like to drinky drink sometimes :P

I don't like movies. Well, that's not to say I don't like ANY movies, but watching movies is definitely not a hobby of mine. I seem to be the only person like this, but it's just incredibly hard for me to sit through an entire movie unless I'm in a theater. I get bored. That being said, most of the movies I DO like do not have happy endings. I don't like the fairy tale happily ever after thing...rubs me the wrong way.
Because of that, I loathe most romantic comedies.

Really though, I'm pop-culture retarded. I listen to music I like, watch about 3 tv shows, and haven't ever seen any movies. So if your dialogue is mostly quotes, just act like their your own thoughts, and I might think that you're clever, cause I don't know any difference.

I don't want kids. Ever. I have little to no maternal instinct.

Really, a good way to describe myself is having the heart and stregnth of a man, but with the body, brain, and charm of a woman :P haha

i have recently found out that my ultimate dream has come true. There are more marshmallows than boring things in my lucky charms. This is exactly how I thought it would feel....

I am summarized as follows:
I have always chosen to follow only my own rules. And blaze my own path, for good or ill. I have extreme confidence in myself, both in making good choices in my life as well as dealing with the poor ones.
I'm not afraid of risk, and so fearlessly put my heart out there looking for my special woman.

Some of my other interests including growing heirloom tomatoes and chilies (and other stuff space permitting). My love of food has forced me to dabble with cooking as well. My philosophy is to start with organic and delicious foods and basically let nature do most of the work. I have a wide range of dishes from chili to California rolls.

I also run 4-5 times a week (less in the winter, the gym or cold snow doesn't motivate as much as a beautiful sunny morning). I'm training to run a marathon in the near future.
